Rockhampton 2010 Flood
Thursday, 6th-January-2011 11:41am

A group on onlookers saved this local business from flood damage. Great community spirit.

A park on the edge of the river is inundated with water. Many snakes reported here and past floods have had Crocodiles sunbake on the slightly exposed picnic tables.

About 150 volunteers get 10000 sandbags ready and onto 60 crates for the peak. Not bad for a days work in the tropics (very humid conditions)
